Tyler Myers won't be in the lineup for the 91´ó»ÆѼ Canucks in Game 2 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Thatcher Demko isn't the only Canuck regular missing Game 2.

The Canucks' star goaltender suffered an injury in Game 1 and is out week-to-week but one of the skaters in front of him was also out of the lineup.

When the 91´ó»ÆѼ Canucks took the ice for warm-up on Tuesday night ahead of Game 2 against the Nashville Predators, Tyler Myers wasn't among them. Instead, both Noah Juulsen and Mark Friedman took part in warm-up, giving the Canucks seven defencemen on the ice.

As the Canucks took their line rushes, it became clear that Juulsen was drawing into the lineup alongside Carson Soucy.

While Myers is listed as a scratch by the NHL, there's no confirmation of why he is out of the lineup. When reached for comment, a Canucks representative had no update on the situation.

That said, Canucks coaches Rick Tocchet and Adam Foote would be unlikely to make a change to their defence corps after a win, let alone take out an experienced veteran like Tyler Myers, unless something forced their hand.

UPDATE: After the game, Tocchet revealed that Myers missed the game with a bout of the flu, not an injury.

Myers played 19:08 in Game 1, seventh on the team in ice time. That includes 2:32 on the penalty kill, second in shorthanded time behind Ian Cole among Canucks defencemen.

This will be Juulsen's first NHL playoff game of his career. He has 2 points in 9 AHL playoff games in his career.
